Although beagles are typically
playful and eager to please, they’re also full of determination, ruled by the
nose and have a tendency to roam. Because they’re small in size, beagles
adapt easily to county or city living as long as they get plenty of family
time. Known to be good natured with children, beagles easily can win over
even the coldest adult with their begging eyes and floppy ears. Beagles seem
to have something to offer just about everyone. The beagle is a friendly, social
breed. A sound beagle puppy shouldn’t hesitate to meet and greet you while
enthusiastically wagging his tail. Because he’s a beagle and ruled by his
nose, he likely will run off to investigate something else but should also
keep coming back to you for interaction and play. Additionally, observe how
the pup interacts with other members of the litter. Is he the leader of the
pack, or does he hang back and watch before taking action? The leader of the
pack is usually the first one at the edge of the crate, dog run or pen, just
itching to get out and explore the world. This type of puppy is usually the
one most eager to greet newcomers. A quieter pup might be the one that’s
always being picked on. Remember that puppy play-fighting, like wrestling, is
healthy and helps them establish strong muscles, as well as their place in
the pack. Each one of our puppies is truly
unique and beautiful. Please plan to spend some time when you come so that
you may pick out the one that is just right for you and your family. |
